{"id":14070,"date":"2025-10-28T08:41:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T12:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transfertconsult.ca\/?post_type=blogue-expertise&#038;p=14070"},"modified":"2025-10-28T08:41:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T12:41:12","slug":"pro-bono-2025","status":"publish","type":"blogue-expertise","link":"https:\/\/transfertconsult.ca\/en\/blog-expertise\/pro-bono-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Restoring the rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 Mars: A Community-Driven Project for the Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Restoring the rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 Mars: A Community-Driven Project for the Region<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year, through our <em>pro bono<\/em> policy*, Transfert had the privilege of supporting <span style=\"color: #236192;\"><a style=\"color: #236192;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.contact-nature.ca\/en\/\"><strong>Contact Nature<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in a community-led process to restore the hydromorphology of the rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 Mars, an emblematic ecosystem in the Saguenay region.<\/p>\n<p>Carried out between November 2024 and May 2025, the project culminated in a participatory workshop held in January 2025, bringing together residents and key stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop had three goals:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To<strong> share the results<\/strong> of hydromorphological and social acceptability studies;<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>collect participants\u2019 feedback<\/strong> on the restoration plan;<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>identify ways to improve it<\/strong> so the project truly meets community needs and remains sustainable over time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Transfert played a central role in the project\u2019s success, thanks to our colleague\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/transfertconsult.ca\/en\/une-equipe-de-valeur\/marc-olivier-fortin\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #236192;\">Marc-Olivier Fortin&#8217;s<\/span><\/strong><\/a> involvement. Ahead of the workshop, our team helped design communication tools, provided <strong>strategic advice<\/strong>, and guided the client through event planning. During the workshop, we <strong>facilitated<\/strong> the discussions and created a space for listening, reflection, and co-creation.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, we produced a report summarizing the concerns raised, the strengths and weaknesses of the plan, and key recommendations for the next steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Transfert Effect<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our contribution gave Contact Nature a clear and structured external perspective to guide the next phases of the project. The Transfert effect could be felt at every step: a well-prepared client team, a smooth and engaging workshop, thorough documentation, and above all, a clear <strong>strategic vision<\/strong> to ensure the project\u2019s long-term success.<\/p>\n<p>This project reflects our commitment to putting our expertise at the service of meaningful causes, guided by <strong>social<\/strong> <strong>responsibility<\/strong> and the <strong>power of dialogue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>___<br \/>\n*About Our Pro Bono Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To make our team\u2019s skills accessible to organizations and groups that need them most, Transfert has adopted a <em>pro bono<\/em> policy.<\/p>\n<p>Through this initiative, we share our <a href=\"https:\/\/transfertconsult.ca\/en\/expertise\/\"><span style=\"color: #236192;\">expertise<\/span><\/a> <strong>free of charge<\/strong> with selected partners whose <span style=\"color: #236192;\"><a style=\"color: #236192;\" href=\"https:\/\/transfertconsult.ca\/en\/about\/\">mission<\/a><\/span> align with ours.
