Established through a partnership between local stakeholders, including <strong>Transfert Environment and Society<\/strong>, and <strong>Centraide Abitibi<\/strong>\u2011<strong>T\u00e9miscamingue and Northern Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>, the Fund reflects a shared commitment to structuring the social benefits associated with mining development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the FISIM?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abitibi\u2011T\u00e9miscamingue and Northern Qu\u00e9bec are some of the most active mining regions in Canada, where the industry plays a major role in the economy and employment. Yet, social needs remain pressing and are growing.<\/p>\n<p>The FISIM aims to ensure the sustainability of social investments, support community organizations and collective initiatives, and strengthen the social fabric of these regions in alignment with their economic development, going beyond one\u2011time donations and sponsorships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transfert\u2019s commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Transfert, we have spent 30 years building bridges between organizations and communities.
