An expert in social and environmental impact assessment, Camila Gordillo brings over ten years of multidisciplinary experience supporting complex projects in Canada and abroad.
Camila holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in International Development, Geography and Environment from McGill University. She has built solid expertise in analyzing, managing and mitigating social and environmental impacts.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to impact assessments in the mining, industrial, hydroelectric, real estate and infrastructure sectors, consistently integrating best ESG practices, regulatory compliance, and Indigenous rights.
Her work has led her to collaborate with numerous Indigenous Nations and communities across Canada and Latin America, as well as a broad range of stakeholders — from government ministries and international investors to NGOs and local communities.
Deeply people-oriented, her approach focuses on fostering constructive dialogue and designing tailored solutions that promote social acceptability and project sustainability.
Before joining Transfert, Camila worked as an Analyst at Hatch and as a Senior Analyst at Ivanhoé Cambridge, where she led impact assessments, supported multidisciplinary teams, and contributed to environmental compliance and risk management within an international real estate portfolio.
Camila has also contributed to community-based research and initiatives with Oxfam, the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and various Montréal-based organizations, addressing socio-environmental issues, land use planning, and education.
A polyglot fluent in French, English and Spanish, Camila is driven by her commitment to sustainable development and social justice. She stands out for her ability to design strategic projects and turn complex issues into opportunities for collaboration and resilience.
